Receipts, SMS and WhatsApp

Set these up under Settings → Messaging.

#Email

Receipts and alerts go out from Wispot's own address by default. To send announcements from your business address, connect your mail server (SMTP) with its server, port, username, password and "send as" address. We sign in to check the details work before saving them.

#SMS with Termii

Connect your Termii account with your API key and approved sender ID to send SMS receipts and announcements. Messages are billed to your Termii account.

#Customer receipts

Switch on email receipts (sent when a customer gave an email address) and SMS receipts (every paid purchase).

#The WhatsApp bot

Customers message your WhatsApp Business number and get a simple numbered menu: plans and prices, their balance, buy a plan, help. They can pay from their wallet or get a payment link, and their Wi-Fi login arrives in the chat once paid.

To connect it you need a WhatsApp Business account on Meta's Cloud API:

1. From your Meta app, copy the phone number ID, a permanent access token and the app secret into Wispot.
2. In the Meta app, set the webhook callback URL and verify token we show you, and subscribe to messages.

Every message from Meta is checked against your app secret before we act on it.
